Bizarre and wonderful – despite his head being very cone shaped.

Where did you give birth or where was the birth you witnessed?
Manchester

Can you describe where your/the birth was?
Wythenshawe hospital birthing room, in a water pool. My husband, lots of midwives.

Who was present at your/the birth?
Husband and lots of midwives

Can you describe the experience of giving birth or watching the birth?
Intense and exhilarating. Labour was a fun day at home pacing round the house while my husband watched TV and told jokes. It was all ok until the last stage where I shut everyone out and went in to a place I’ve never been before- primal. I wanted the birthing room dark and quiet and then I pushed for 3 hours while others talked around me. The contractions were like huge surges of pressure but I could feel my I baby getting closer with each one. And then out popped his head and the midwife asked me to look down in the water and see him. Then I had to pull him out with the last teeny push. Bizarre and wonderful – despite his head being very cone shaped. And I only did one teeny poo in the water too.
